Welp, there was no getting around it after all.

There’s still a few of you out there i don’t harass talk to on a regular basis, so if you don’t already know, tomorrow I’m getting on a plane and moving to China for work. This will unfortunately mean the end of ask-shuckle - even if i somehow to make like Shan Yu and get past the great (Fire)Wall of China, my work schedule as an asshole investment banker is probably going to prevent me from doing any meaningful art (to the extent I ever did meaningful art)

Though I’m admittedly not that great with drawing, I’m honestly not that good with words either. I had written out this long note where I called out people I thought had influenced me by name and tried to tell them how I felt, but I when I re-read them it sounded stupid and more importantly, inadequate. I’d say thank you, but I say that when the UPS guy gives me a package to sign for - it doesn’t seem like its really up to code. I’d tell them how awesome I thought they were, but honestly “awesome” is so overused by people these days I almost felt like I was insulting them. I’d even say I loved them, but I use that word to describe how I feel about star wars, naps, and playing super smash bros melee. 

I guess instead of trying to distill everything into one word, sometimes the truth and bare-bones facts are just the best things to say. So here they are: I met you guys during the time in my life when I probably needed it the most. I am so grateful to have met every one of you, and I hope we can keep in touch in the future. I think it was on an episode of House where a woman said “Life is just a series of rooms, and who we get stuck in those rooms with adds up to what our lives are”. While looking for wisdom in cheesy TV quotes is no way to live your life, I’d say that if life were indeed a series of rooms, I’m very blessed that, no matter how briefly, I got to be stuck in this one with you guys.
